We would like to extend a huge thank you to the North Carolina State University Black Alumni Association for awarding Lydia Elrod the Witherspoon Graduate Fellowship for the development of The Chloe Project! 

The Witherspoon Fellowship is awarded to graduate students each semester who have demonstrated experience in and a commitment to serving Black communities within and beyond the NC State community. Dr. Augustus M. Witherspoon was the first Black student to complete a Masters degree and the second Black student to complete a Ph.D. at NC State. In 1971, he became the first Black professor at NC State, eventually earning the rank of full professor. The Witherspoon Fellowship award was created by NC State’s Black Alumni Association in 1990.
